These devices get bugged with a plethora of issues every now and then. The worst part is that Xiaomi either refuses to acknowledge these bugs or even if they do, it takes them ages to release a fix. As of now, the Poco X3 Pro users were already getting bugged with the Ghost Touch issues, but there wasn’t any major issue as such with its counterpart, the F3, until the OEM rolled out the MIUI 12.5 update. With that, there were a plethora of issues and bugs that users welcomed onto their devices. To fix them, Xiaomi rolled out an Enhanced Update that should have fixed the underlying issues. But as fate has it, this Enhanced update added a few of its own bugs on top of the current ones. So rather than performing its actual task of rectifying issues, it made a few unwanted additions of its own. To be frank, by now, no one was surprised with this as it’s all along the expected lines. So what’s the problem this time around? Well, with the latest MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update, Poco F3/Mi 11X users are reporting random reboots on their devices. Likewise, some users have also reported that their device now gets extremely hot after installing the said update. So how could you fix the Poco F3/Mi 11X random reboot issues on MIUI 12.5? Let’s check it out.

How to Fix Poco F3/Mi 11X Random Reboot on MIUI 12.5

UPDATE 1: Poco F3/Mi 11X Random Reboot Issue is Now Fixed

The Chinese OEM has recently rolled out the seventeenth MIUI Bug Report For POCO Global Devices. In that report, they have notified the users that the issue related to Thermal Patch has now been rectified. As a result, it will now fix the Poco F3/Mi 11X random reboot issues on MIUI 12.5 as well. And one of our readers has confirmed this fact in the comments section as well. So hopefully it’s the last we have seen of this issue (fingers crossed)! Anyways, here’s what the latest Bug report had to say:

Issue: Random Reboot.Affected Device: POCO F3Affected Version: V12.5.3.0.RKHMIXM.Status: The version that repaired the restart caused by the Thermal Patch has been released, and the problem is solved‌‌.

[The original article continues] While some users are live witnessing the random reboots on their devices, others seem to have got hold of this issue in a slightly different manner. When they pick up their phone and try to unlock it via Fingerprint, the device refuses to accept it and instead asks for the PIN/Pattern/Password. For the unware, this only happens when you unlock the device the first time after a reboot (and it happens for security purposes). So what is the reason for random reboots on Poco F3/Mi 11X running MIUI 12.5? Well upon investigating the device’s result_reason logfile located at MIUI/DEBUG_LOG/POWERINFO, there were a total of four random reboots, and each of them was attributed to ‘framework’. It could be related to the Xiaomi service framework or any related system file.

And since it is a system-related issue, there’s not much that a user could do from their end. Fortunately, Xiaomi has addressed this issue and has since stopped the rollout of this Enhanced update. Apart from that, it has said in its MIUI Bug Report For POCO Global Devices Volume 16 that the issue will be fixed via the next update slated for 15th September 2021. Here’s the major talking point of this report: So all that you could do is wait for a data or two until you get a new OTA update which might fix the random reboot issue on your Poco F3/Mi 11X running MIUI 12.5. But don’t keep your hopes too much high, as no one can predict with certainty, at least as far as this OEM is concerned.
